"GSE has been such a great experience. I couldn't think to ask for one other thing that they hadn't already thought of and provided for us while in a foreign country.  My favorite part about this experience is making new lifelong friends and seeing the world at such a young age.  Studying abroad is something everyone should experience; it is one opportunity that no one should pass up.  I love London, and I had such an amazing time that I didn’t want to go home!”

Originally built by the Romans on the banks of the River Thames,
London has inspired and shaped much of the history of the modern world. With a population of ten million, London is Europe’s largest and most ethnically diverse city, with as many as 200 languages are spoken by its residents. With 2,000 years of history, London has witnessed a parade of kings and queens, wars, fires, and plagues. Each period of English history has left an indelible imprint on the city through its breathtaking architecture and beautiful city parks. St Paul’s Cathedral, Westminster Abbey, the Houses of Parliament, Buckingham Palace, and Big Ben are just a few of the world famous landmarks that make London special. The city's status as the center of a once booming empire combined with the British love for collecting priceless artifacts, has allowed London to amass a spectacular collection of priceless objects and artworks displayed in over 600 art galleries and 150 museums.

Day or night, London provides perhaps the most diverse range of entertainment options of any single city. The West End is the largest theater capital outside of New York City, and the city’s many music venues produce a constant flow of world renowned DJ’s and pop bands. Whether drinking a pint in a traditional English pub or checking out London’s hip clubbing and nightlife scene, it’s a city that will offer an enriching experience! This stunning metropolis is best described by poet Samuel Johnson who says: “By seeing London, I have seen as much of life as the world can show.”
