Before you leave for your program GSE advisors will provide you with guidance on what program location and courses will be a best match for you! You will receive extensive pre-departure information about your destination, even advice on what to bring! Studying abroad with GSE is a painless experience, as program advisors will arrange all aspects of your program before your departure including your housing, your enrollment in your host university, and much, much more. Program advisors will provide you with advice on all sorts of aspects of your study abroad experience, including financial aid, transferring your credit, and applying for a visa or passport.
Once you arrive in your destination city, you will be glad to find a GSE Onsite Program Director eager to introduce you to your new home! Onsite Program Directors will serve as your information resource throughout your program. They will coordinate all matters with your host university, provide you with guidance about local scenes, and even give you advice on where to eat and shop. In addition, Onsite Program Directors will arrange for a wide spectrum of activities outside of the classroom, ranging from museum visits to weekend excursions to other cities and countries.
GSE customer service and support will continue upon your return to the U.S. GSE’s advisors will work with you and your home university to transfer your credits and ensure that your home university receives your official transcript from your host university. GSE also offers advice on dealing with the “reverse culture-shock” that returning study abroad participants sometimes experience. GSE even offers GSE alumni photo contests and chances for earning commissions for referrals.
