This course studies the art movements of Natualism, Surrealism, Symbolism, and Impressionism found in modern French art from the period of Neo-classicalism to the present.  The works of influencial printers such as Corot, Courbet, and Delacroix will be discussed and analyzed, as will famous architects such as Corbusier and Perret.  Individual artists, various sculptures and works of art are discussed and viewed at local museums.
