One semester of college-level Italian is recommended

The course will consist of 14 lectures, each lasting one hour and
forty-five minutes, on the history and development of art in Italy,
from its origins in the Baroque period through Contemporary Art. Each period’s examination will
include studying the works of the artists which typified the period.
