OBJECTIVES
- To improve linguistic competency and, more specifically, the reading competency of students through the comprehensive, critical and enjoyable reading of brief Spanish texts which belong to different textual typologies.
- Starting with an interactive reading of the text, to reach those strategies which allow for a construction of meaning of the said text, in as wholesome a way as possible.
COURSE CONTENT
Reading as the construction of meaning: . Reading and commentary of adverts: persuasion . Reading and commentary of posters: information . Reading and commentary of graffiti: opinion . Reading and commentary of short-stories: narration.
BIBLIOGRAPHY The corresponding class notebook for each term.
EVALUATION During the course, students will be commenting on aspects of texts which will have been read. At the end of each term students will write a commentary about some of the texts they will have read previously.
