Overview:
This course aims to provide the foreign student with a good base knowledge of different major aspects of the French culture and its global influence.  The student should be able to demonstrate an understanding of the themes of French history, France's place in the world, French cinema, French literature and French regions, and compare the French culture with that of their own country.

Teaching Method:
Lecture, Discussion, Field trips to Paris

Evaluation:
Continuous assessment, written final examination
