General description
The objective of the class is to facilitate the students in learning the basics of Spanish Literature from the 18th century to present day, analyzing authors and chosen works of each period in the historical and social context in which they were produced.

Activities
The cited texts of each subject will be read and commented upon in class, in selected fragments and, on occasion, will be illustrated further with videos or other audiovisual equipment. Students will participate in some discussions indicated by the professor that the students will present in class. Class participation and participation in cultural literary activities, attendance to theatre performances, expositions, etc. related to the program of the class will be valued.

Evaluation
Grades will be evaluated through written tests/quizzes that consist of a theoretic question and a commentary of one of the texts that have been discussed in class. The presentation of the indicated commentaries in class as well as class attendance and active participation will be valued.
