Management 330: Entrepreneurship

Students learn in a hands-on fashion how to apply in an integrated way everything they learn in business school in this capstone course. Students gain in self-confidence, learn how to transform a business idea into a business plan, and improve their people skills in their work together in teams on a start-up project of their choice. Students will improve their project and time management skills as well as organizational skills, as the work load is demanding. Students also hone their presentation skills and gain in clarity, content and conviction.

INSTRUCTIONAL METHODOLOGY :
The course will be a mix of lectures and tutorials working each week on advancing the project. The project is expected to be developed to a level where it could be used to raise funds from banks or investors. A major part of each class will be devoted to the ongoing development of the business plan. Projects may be on an individual basis or in groups (maximum six in a group).

- the Business Plan: creating and starting the Venture
- the Strategic Plan : Vision and how to get there
- the Operations Plan : Process Management
- the Marketing Plan : Generating Revenue
- the Financial Plan : Performance Management
- the Organizational Plan : People management
