This program focuses on Spanish Art within the context of Europe from the 1970s, when the change of government in Spain brought about a new style and a new way of thinking. The relation between society and art made this period one of the most interesting art periods in Spain, and the new tendencies and artists of the time are still part of the country's values today.

CONTENT

1- Art in the 70’s: Ephemeral Art reinvidication exhibition When the attitudes

became art Harald Szeemann, Suisse 1968.

1.1 Arte Povera: return to the use of poor and/or organic materials

1.2 Land Art: integration of art in the landscape

1.3 Conceptual Art: domination of the concept over the shape

1.4 Spanish Conceptual Art: Collection of the Museum of Contemporary art of

Barcelona (MACBA): Antoni Llena, Grup de treball, Antoni Muntades,

Francesc Abad, Fina Miralles, Francesc Torres, Àngels Ribé…

2- Art in the 80’s: Return to the painting surface

2.1 The role of the big exhibitions in the international art situation: change of

the art taste: Documenta of Kassel, 1982, Biennale of Venetia, ARCO of

Madrid
